Intermediate Hike June 15 - Angel Island Perimeter Loop. PLEASE NOTE EARLIER DEPARTURE - We will take the ferry from Tiburon to Angel Island State Park, then hike the perimeter of the island on mostly paved road, visiting historical sites including the Immigration Station, Fort McDowell, and Camp Reynolds. Spectacular views of the Bay from all directions. Bring$16.20 round trip fare for seniors includes park entrance - good idea to book ahead online at angelislandferry.com). Parking close to the ferry terminal costs $16-$20. Parking a 10-minute walk away costs $5. Admission to the Immigration Station for a self-guided tour is $5 (Between Town Hall and Chase Bank on Tiburon Blvd). We will return on the last ferry at 3:30 p.m. 6.2 miles, about 500 ft elevation gain. Bring water, lunch, poles if needed. Sunhat and windbreaker advised.
