INTERMEDIATE HIKE : Oct 12. Brushy Peaks Trail to Neptune, at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Approx. 5 miles, with 900 feet elevation gain --at a moderate pace. Take a morning walk at the speed of light and get as far as Neptune. If you have more energy, go on to Pluto. Approx. 5 miles

Bring water, snack/lunch, poles, State Park pass or day use parking fee of $8 Senior (62 and older). Meet at Berger to set up carpools. Depart 9 AM . Trail head at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in the main parking lot.
