About the event
Historic Olompali State Park in Novato is back open now after a long closure.  Former home of the Grateful Dead and before that the Grateful Miwok, and even a commune.  We'll visit the Miwok Village along the Miwok trail and then part of the upper Miwok trail.  With any luck, I'll  get a ranger to open the museum for us.  Bring poles and a lunch as we will dine alfrefsco on the picnic tables at the conclusion of the hike.  About 6.5 miles and 900 feet of elevation.  EARLY START at 8:30Â
