Intermediate March 28 - Lawson Trail, Hood Mountain Regional Park

We will start with a steep climb for about a mile on the Lower Johnson trail to the Lawson Trail (a rather new trail) which is still uphill, but not so steep, with switchbacks, then loop back via Panorama Ranch Trail. There are several good view points along the route. We will pass through oak,  chaparral (stop for spring flowers!), and Sargent Cypress woodlands. Carpool to the parking lot for Hood Mt. Regional on Pythian Rd. Parking is $7 per vehicle parking, or use your Regional Parks Pass. About 7 miles, 1000 feet elevation gain.  Bring water, snack/lunch, and hiking poles. Heavy rain cancels.
