INTERMEDIATE: Skyline Wilderness Park/ Napa

We will take the Upper Skyline Trail as far as Lake Marie, then return via Marie Creek Road, exploring Martha Walker Garden on the way back. Impressive views of Napa Valley, San Francisco Bay and Mt. Tam; wildflowers; fascinating ruins from the 19th and early 20th centuries when the land belonged to the State Hospital. About 7 miles, 1000 ft elevation gain. About an hour and a half driving time each way. Bring lunch, water, poles if needed.  Parking $6 per vehicle. Skyline Wilderness Park is operated by a volunteer organization and is not part of the State or Regional park systems. Leave Berger at 9:00 AM.
