Intermediate: Sonoma Overlook Trail & Mountain Cemetery

UPDATE 5/8/23

The Olompali State park is currently closed due to damage done to the access road leading to the park entrance.    This favorite local hike will take its place.  New start time of 9:00 am and should be back by noonish.

Starting out at the Sonoma Police Department parking lot, we take the Spotted Fawn, Rattlesnake cutoff and Overlook Trail to a beautiful vista of the Sonoma Valley.  On the way back we will go thru the old Sonoma Mountain Cemetery to pay our respects to a couple of very interesting former Sonoma residents who are laid to rest.  Bring a snack if you wish, and we should be back to the Berger lot sometime around noon or shortly after.  About 4 miles and 475 feet of elevation.   Restroom available inside the PD.   Hike Leader Gary Andersen  360-778-9604.
