About the event
We'll park in the main parking lot and hike on the Creekside trail past the Observatory. We continue on the gravel portion of Meadow trail to Vista trail. All of the uphill portion of the hike is on Vista Trail, and much of it is on somewhat steep stairs (not rocks). We will pass the Headwaters trail junction and continue on the open, sunniest portion of Vista with lovely mountain and city views on a clear day. The descent winds through a large stand of oaks and then through the sunny meadow back to the parking lot. 4 miles, elevation 850 ft. Bring sun protection and water, and poles if desired. Heavy rain cancels. A restroom is located in the main parking lot.
Parking fee is $8 for seniors per car unless you have a pass. Leave Berger parking lot at 9:00 AM. Hike Leader: Georgene Bonovich 925 787-3751
