LONG: Angel Island !REVISED 6/27!

Updated 6/27: Angel Island is situated in San Francisco Bay near Tiburon, and was once a processing station for immigrants. It is now a State Park in its entirety, with historic sites. Views of the Bay are fantastic. Our plan is to catch the 10am ferry from Tiburon, a 15 minute trip, $14 for seniors, then complete about 7 miles of hiking with 1,100 ft elevation gain, lingering at historical sites, and return on the ferry leaving the island at 3.20 pm. There are no longer ferries scheduled for the 2.20pm or 4.20 return, anyone needing to leave on the 1.20pm boat will have to cut the hike short and have brought their own car. To be sure of beating any traffic , and finding parking to board the 10am boat we will leave the Berger 15 minutes earlier at 8.15am promptly. Hike leader Martin Johns
