LONG HIKE: BARNABE PEAK

A hike up to the peak in Samuel P Taylor State Park, mostly shaded on a well refurbished trail, with great views from the fire tower location in all directions, including Tomales Bay. Then a steady descent to the Lagunitas Creek valley and return by the Cross Marin Trail through the redwoods by the camp site and finally a very shallow stream crossing back to the car. 9.5 miles and 1500 ft elevation.
