LONG HIKE : SUGARLOAF EXTRAVAGANZA

This almost end-of-year hike offers a little of everything.  First scamper down the Canyon Trail to check out the waterfall; then return up via the Pony Gate Trail; past Camp Butler and up Brushy Peaks Trail for a brief stop at the overlook table. 

Onward to the end of the Spur Trail for an awesome view; continuing on the BP Trail for lunch at the junction of Gray Pine and Brushy Peaks Trails. Then over to Red Mtn Trail, down Headwaters Tr, and over to Indian Rock for a view. Finally return to the main lot via Lower Bald Mtn Trail.  

Total distance is about 9.5 miles with elevation gain 2150 ft.
