LONG: Marin Cataract Trail

- We start uphill, and it's worth it to follow the many rapids and waterfalls of Cataract Creek alongside which we climb, sometimes on steps, on the northwest side of Mt. Tamalpais.  About 7.5 miles and 2000 ft elevation gain for the loop. There are views from the ridge, and also of Alpine Lake. For maximum effect, this is a hike to be done when it's rained, so expect some slipperiness. Bring poles, grippy boots, lunch, water and dress appropriately. Meet at the Berger Parking at 8.30am.
