Long: McCormick - Red Hill

We drive up Los Alamos Rd. to the northeast entrance of the Hood Regional  parking area which requires a regional park pass or $8.00.  From there we hike down and across Salt Creek, into the McCormick addition of Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and on to Red Hill where we will have lunch and learn about McCormick family.  On the way back we will take a side trail back into the newest addition to Hood Regional, Margaret Spaulding's former property at the headwaters of Santa Rosa Creek.  Bring lunch and poles.  Approx 7.2 miles with 1,850 feet elevation.
