About the event

This diverse area includes many interesting historical architectural styles, including The Church of the Incarnation, built in 1873. This district was added to the City of Santa Rosa in the mid 1870s. Its past reveals several public buildings, including a county hospital, young ladies seminary and a hotel. Many of the homes survived both the 1906 and 1969 earthquakes. Residents rode a horse drawn trolley car. Bring water, shade protection, snack and good walking shoes; poles optional. This walk is about 2 miles, level, but with rough sidewalks. Rain cancels. Depart Berger at 9:00am; then meet at the Church of the Incarnation parking lot at 636 Cherry St.  Leader: Donna McCulloch, (707) 539-5730.
