SHORT: Three Parks, Three Miles, Ten Minutes From Home

Originally scheduled for May 19...on this hike, we’ll explore little-known trails that connect Howarth City Park with Spring Lake County Park and Trione-Annadel State Park, and all just a few minutes' drive from Oakmont.  Expect 3 (or slightly more) miles leisurely walking over good surfaces, with some careful up and downhill, with shady oak and redwood forests, chaparral, scenic view points and rest stops.  Bring snack, water, sun protection and optional poles, Bathrooms and water along the way; optional picnic lunch after the hike.  Depart Berger 9am for trailhead, at the junction of Summerfield and Sonoma avenues.  Best parking is along Summerfield, though you may also park in lower lot at Howarth Park and walk to trailhead.  Hike leader is Carolyn Greene, (805) 443-7289, or cgnpark@icloud.com.  Check club website the day before for updates.
