Valencia Peak and Bluff Trail at Montana De Oro  State Park

Beautiful wildflowers and ocean views at Montana De Oro State Park.   The park is a 50 minute drive south of Cambria, just past Morro Bay.  This is a loop with 1,555 feet elevation and 7.1 miles.  Hike up to Valencia Peak, then down the Badger Trail and the last leg is on the stunning Bluff Trail with magnificant ocean coves and views.  Be sure to visit the Spooner Ranch house visitor center when you return, right at trailhead.  A Valencia Peak geology walk phamplet will be available prior to the hike for those who are geologically curious.
