Lawson Trail at Hood Regional
The day dawned drizzly. At the trail head it was clear and stayed sunny for most of the hike....

If only we had not stopped for lunch! A large cloud loomed as we headed down. Then, was is this? It is hail! Tiny, but really hail. A few of us were without rain jackets.... That was not the end of our troubles. One of us took a spill head first on the asphalt road, about a half mile from the parking lot. We called an ambulance.

Thank you Marie Kay for leading us through the sun, rain and hail. I’m sorry the hike didn’t have the ending we wanted but hoping for the best.
