9/15/22 "Sh-inter" Hunters Camp to Creekside Connector
Such a nice hike today with 18 of my wonderful OHC friends. This was a new hike for the OHC, apparently for the first time. With the trailhead situated on Coleman Valley Rd. just west of Occidental, we were immersed in the stillness and serenity of the beautiful coastal redwoods and ferns. This intermediate hike was 5.9 miles with 906 feet of elevation. Thanks once again to my wonderful wife Bonnie for making her special Brownies for a mid morning snack. Great lunch after the hike at the Altamont General Store in Occidental.

Left to right: Kathy Schultz, David Beck, Nancy Rude, Jeff Zalles, Peggy Clark, Kim Taddi, Line Pelletier, Rhonda Greer, Phyllis Guttman, Ron Burrell, Linda Fishcer, Suzanne Bond, Margaret Nielsen, Donna McCulloch, Eric Nielsen, Karen Cotter, Mary Lou Hicks and Bonnie Andersen.

Great place to eat! Outstanding fresh food and delicious heirloom tomatoes.

Hi Julie-It was a fun hike and lunch afterwards. You would have enjoyed it. We’re all bummed about having to cancel the tri-niter, but hope we can eventually get to Truckee. . . maybe late spring???
