Sunny Views From Marin Headlands
From Linne McAleer....lovely Marin hike last Thursday. From the Tennessee Valley parking lot, eight of us climbed the Miwok trail to Coyote Ridge, then took the Coastal Fire Road down to Tennessee Beach for lunch, then walked back to our cars through Tennessee Valley - about a 7 mile loop with 900 ft elevation gain. The weather was ideal for hiking: clear, cool, and breezy (especially at the beach). The wind had blown any smog away, so we had perfectly clear 360° views of SF, the Bay, the ocean, and Mt Tam from the top of Coyote Ridge.
