Gorgeous Views from the Top
Another beautiful day for a hike here in Sonoma County. We successfully completed a grueling hike up to the top of Hood Mountain with lunch up at Gunsight Rock. The weather was toasty, but we managed the first 3.5 miles and 2000 foot elevation gain ending with a view over the Valley of the Moon that could not be beat!
The rest was mostly downhill, and we enjoyed the scenery that included green foliage, full to the brim ponds, and warm blue skies to occupy our senses.
