Frey Canyon-Rhyolite-Marsh
I was not going to be able to make it to this group hike on Thursday, so I tried it with my husband last Saturday. Found the Frey Canyon connector fine, but never did see any signage for Rhyolite or Marsh. I am wondering if I took a wrong turn. I was following the All Trails App and went straight (crossing over the downed tree) instead of left at this juncture that came at about 20 minutes into the hike. (All Trails looked like I should turn left there. Photo attached, but probably not possible to determine where I was.
Does anyone know if it should have been a left turn? We loved the Frey Canyon and I would like to go back and retry this, but hope to go the right way this time. We did hike about 7 miles in the wrong direction but it was an adventure! Thank you for any expert guidance! Cindy Brennan
Thanks! We did get to the top of a ridge with beautiful views of the mountains to the East. I don't know if that was correct or not.
