8/29 Olompali - Mt. Burdell
A group of six long hikers climed to the summit opf Mt. Burdell at Olompali State Park. Five miles up and five miles down a long series of switchbacks made it an enjoyable hike in pleasant weather. Fantasic views of the Petaluma River and San Pablo Bay, even Mt. Diablo. An al fresco lunch at the summit with those delicious Bonnie's Brownies for extra energy. A total of 10.1 miles, 1391 feet of elevation. Great Day!
