The Perfect Day for a Perfect Hike
Oakmont scramblers tackle Alamere Falls.
Alamere Falls is a rare "tidefall", a waterfall that flows directly into the ocean. It is one of only two known tidefalls in California, six in North America, and 31 around the world.
After three decades of hiking the N. Bay and Peninsula, I can say with confidence that this is the best hike in the Bay Area. I will lead it again next spring with an option to avoid the steep climb from the beach, so more hikers can participate.

No matter! Even after a challenging rutted entry to trailhead parking lot, we all were rewarded with true bliss. Truly an awesome hike with everything! Plus the weather didn't fail. Thx, Jeff for your lead, dynamite pix and fun. :>)
