10/13/22 Long Hikers on Brushy Peaks
Thanks to Dave Chalk for leading a fun hike today! Vista, Red Mountain, Headwaters, Grey Pine and Brushy Peaks Trails. Dave got permission for us to hike on the closed section of Brushy Peaks using poles for the steep downhill portion. A nice loop around the back of the park arriving at Pluto from outer space.

Left to right: John Ferriera,, David Steinberger, Bill Stacy and Dave Chalk.

John sporting his new OHC Shirt and Dave with his new tie dye hat from the Glen Ellen Village Fair and a very old Manzanita in the background.

Bill Stacy and David Steinberger arriving at Pluto. We did the planet walk in reverse from Pluto to the Sun.

Although this section of the Brushy Peaks trail had been "closed" for a couple of years, you can see that it has been traveled on.
Thanks Gary for the views of the Brushy Peak trail after the fire. It looks better than I thought it would and all you young men look terrific. May try it when the trails are damp again.
