Alamere Falls is always a sight to see
Thanks go to our leader Jeff for planning this hike to reach the falls and not get wet. High tide was not a problem. 11 fearless hikers tackled the dreaded “Notch” to make it back in one piece.

Short notice Kortum a few extra pics
Fog blanket cleared a bit by lunchtime to give us a clear view of Goat Rock from the overlook point. Abundant wildflowers, some excitement as word came back that rangers were closing the trail due to a bear sighting. We decided to complete the hike anyway, with some of us eager to see that bear, however no bear was seen by us. Were we seen by the bear? Who knows . . . the bear was not available for comment . . .

Alamere Falls
10 brave long hikers joined me on my favorite Bay Area hike and conquered the “dreaded notch” in the cliff next to the falls.

Pelican Lake shrouded by morning fog.

and bathed in afternoon sun.
Heading toward the falls in the distance.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for leading. Sorry I missed it.
