INTERMEDIATE/SHORT: Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve

Intermediates will hike both the forest floor and the Pool Ridge trail and see how the redwoods were impacted by the 2020 Wallbridge Fire. While the Wallbridge Fire swept through Armstrong Woods there was minimal damage to the forest floor however rather substanial damage to the Pool Ridge trail. Witness the resurgence of growth on a 4 mile, 500 foot steady climb with lots of switch backs. Short hikers will stroll the forest floor for a 2-3 mile hike.
