About the event
Angel Island is situated in San Francisco Bay near Tiburon, and was once a processing station for immigrants. It is now a State Park in its entirety, with historic sites. Views of the Bay are fantastic. Our plan is to catch the 10am ferry from Tiburon, a 15 minute trip, $14 for seniors, then complete about 7 miles of hiking with 1,100 ft elevation gain, and return on the ferry leaving the island at 2.20pm. If you’d like to linger longer, there are ferries at 3.20 and 4.20 - coordinate with your car pool. We may get creative and change some of the itinerary, so stay tuned to this space on your favorite website.
