OHC Annual Picnic

OHC Members - Join us for our always enjoyable annual hikers' picnic - make new friends and enjoy reconnectiing with hiking friends you may not have seen for a while.  Enjoy a catered lunch consisting of vegetarian and chicken fajitas.

HIKES:  There will be two hikes -  long (starting at 8:30 AM), and intermediate (starting at 9:00 AM).  Sorry- no short hike today.

SERVING TIME:  We expect to start serving at noon.  Snacks and drinks will be available earlier.  .  

There is plenty of parking in the West Rec lot, with shade for our lunch.

We support Oakmont's effort to be envionmentally responsible by using recyclable/compostable products as much as possible, though we will also be using up previously-purchased single-use  items.  Please consider bringing your own reusable plates, cups and utensils!   Green is Good!

There will be carts for recycling (cans and bottles), landfilled trash, and compost (ONLY items that are acceptable by our waste hauler, Recology).  Please follow signs as to what to put where - to avoid contamination. 

Food will be catered; free cold drinks available, with beer available for $3.00 purchase. 

Otherwise there is no cost to club members!!! $10 for guests.

Please be sure to wear your OHC NAMETAG and even shirt!

VOLUNTEER:  We can use help with set-up and especially clean-up.  

REGISTRATION:  PLEASE register for the event, as we will buy only enough food for those who are registered.  Please cancel if your plans change, so we don't end up wasting food or not having enough.
